The 30 point MBTI scale defines the ENFJ personality type as an individual who is:

  • Warm, compassionate, and supportive

  • Loyal and trustworthy

  • Attuned to others emotional needs, motivations, and concerns

  • Innately empathic

  • Sociable, personable, gracious, responsive, and persuasive.

Four Categories of MBTI Personality Type

Where I focus my attention: Extroversion vs Introversion

I AM AN EXTROVERT.

The way I take in information: Sensing vs Intuition

In this category, I ranked a 3/30 in favor of Intuition, three scale points away from ranking as both a sensor and inuit-or. The nature of this mid-point score indicates how balanced I am in this category. I take much pride in this rank because it is an aspect of my personality that I have actively pursued and refined conciously.

MBTI defines a sensor as one who takes in information via their senses and with an awareness of the here and now whereas intuitors focus the attention on the inner world of ideas and impressions. Both of these valueable facets of my personality allow me thoroughly asses and analyze the world through different dispositions.

The way I make decisions: Thinking vs Feeling

As a 5 in favor of one who is a "Feeler", this data point refelcts my ability to balance the way I make decisions. For most of my life I made decisions based on my values, morals, and principles. As I recieved more oppurtunities to make more important decisions that would cause significant life changes, I began to analyze my decision making in a more goal oriented and systematic manner.

How I deal with the world: Judging vs Percieving

"Success is achieved when preparation meets oppurtunity."

Although do not identify with being a "Judge" in its general context, I definitely resonate with the MBTI description of my rank in this category. I have always taken much pride in my organization and planning ability. I enjoy when my enviornment is organized and setteled. I find that it yields more room for creative and working memory. Planning for success is how success is attained. Risk taking and spontaniety have room to flourish when there is a plan in place- in this relationship it is the flexibility that is key.
